Bay Parking


Pull forward and to the right and come to a stop as showin in the picture below.
Apply the handbrake and select reverse gear.
Complete an all round check to ensure it is safe to begin.
Reverse back until your shoulder line is approximately halfway across the bay next door but one to the target bay.
Check to see it is safe to the front and to your left.
If safe carry on and apply full right lock
Allow the car to swing round until the car is parallel with the bay lines or until you can see the bay line in the left wing mirror.
Turn the wheel approximately two turns to the left (the wheels are now straight)
Reverse back in a straight line into the bay whilst looking out the rear window. Make any adjustments as necessary.

If you are in the centre of the bay apply the handbrake and select neutral.

If you are not in the centre of the bay.

You can at this stage pull forward and then reverse back into the bay making any necessary adjustments needed to ensure you are now in between the two bay lines.
